Wineries and Breweries
Union County is home to award-winning wineries and breweries specializing in locally grown ingredients. Whether novice or connoisseur, you’ll enjoy visiting and tasting at our family-run breweries and wineries.
The wine industry is finding that Union County’s clay soil mix is perfect for growing grapes. The Midwest weather pattern concentrates the sweetness and flavor of the grape in the wet spring, then locks in that flavor in with a dry summer, making for optimal grape growing conditions.
With renewed interest in craft brewing and locally sourced ingredients, breweries are popping up and family farms like Rustic Brew Farm, Mill Creek Hops and Grandpops hops, are planting malt, barley and hops to meet the demand.

Dalton Union
Winery & Brewery
Wine | Beer | Mead | Cider
After years of dabbling in winemaking and receiving positive feedback from friends and family, Dale and Tonya decided to make it official. Playing on their love of wine and each other, they named the winery after the combination of their names and their location in Ohio. Located in Marysville, the winery has grown to feature wine, hard cider, mead, and beer made on location. Their “43040” brew is made with all locally grown ingredients and aptly named after Marysville’s zip code.
