What should I wear?

Attire is casual. As the Pottersburg Bridge is an outdoor venue and can be breezy at times, we recommend that you bring a jacket or wear extra layers, if desired.

What is your purchase policy? Can I get a refund once purchased?

Due to the nature of the events, no refunds or credits will be given if the participant is unable to attend. If you are unable to join us, we recommend that you transfer your reservation to someone else. Please respond to your event confirmation email or call our office at (937) 642-6279 with the new guest’s information at least 24 hours before the event.

What is your weather policy?

All events proceed rain or shine. Although the Pottersburg Bridge is covered, we recommend that you dress for inclement weather. In the case of an event being postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, Union County Tourism will reschedule said event and all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled future event date. No monetary refunds will be issued. If a guest is unable to attend the rescheduled event, Union County Tourism will issue a credit for the original purchase amount, for the guest to use toward another Dine on a Covered Bridge Trolley Tour Series.

If weather conditions change unexpectedly on the day of the event and it is no longer safe or practical to dine at the bridge, the meal will be relocated to a participating winery, brewery, or another designated backup location. The trolley tour will continue as conditions allow.

If my friends purchase tickets separately from me, will we be able to sit together?

Yes, both the trolley and meals are open seating.

May I park at the Pottersburg Bridge, if I’m mostly just interested in the dining component of the experience?

As parking is limited and often unsafe, we do not allow participants to park at the Pottersburg Bridge. Please park your vehicle at a participating winery/brewery location and enjoy the covered bridge tour and comprehensive experience.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, please indicate any dietary restrictions in the comments section when making your reservation and we will attempt to accommodate your request.

Will we always ride on a trolley?

We plan to provide a trolley for every event. However, in the event of mechanical issues, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances, transportation may be provided by a bus instead.

Are the trolleys comfortable?

Our vintage-style trolleys feature wooden bench seating, which some guests find firm for the duration of the tour. Air conditioning is available but may vary in effectiveness depending on weather conditions and the trolley being used. We recommend dressing comfortably for the day's weather.

Is the event accessible?

Unfortunately, the trolley is not wheelchair-accessible, and some participating wineries and breweries have gravel pathways or uneven terrain. If you have questions about accessibility or need assistance determining if this experience is right for you, please contact Union County Tourism before purchasing tickets.

Are the Dine on a Covered Bridge events family-friendly?

Although we enjoy showcasing the fun family-friendly options in Union County, the new Dine on a Covered Bridge Trolley Tour Series is an adult-focused event.

How long does the experience last?

The Dine on a Covered Bridge Trolley Tour Series is expected to last approximately 2½ hours. While we strive to stay on schedule, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic, weather, or operational delays can occasionally extend the experience. We recommend allowing an additional hour in your schedule if possible.

Will there be beverages available at the bridge?

No. Union County Tourism does not provide beverages during the event. Guests are welcome to bring sealed beverages purchased from their participating winery or brewery onto the trolley to enjoy while visiting the Pottersburg Covered Bridge. Outside alcohol and beverages from non-participating locations are prohibited.

What should I bring to the event?

We recommend bringing:

A light jacket or extra layers, depending on the weather.
A small cooler in your vehicle if you'd like to take home your leftovers. Many guests tell us the lunch portions are generous and appreciate having a cooler available after the event.

What can’t I bring to the event?

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

Outside alcohol
Outside food and beverages
Glass containers
Cans
Weapons (i.e., knives, pepper spray, stun-guns, any concealed weapons, firearms, etc.)
Illegal drugs
Fireworks, smoke bombs, etc.
Unapproved pamphlets, handouts, advertisements, etc.
Other items as determined by the Union County Convention & Visitors Bureau
If staying overnight, please check your luggage at the hotel, prior to arrival.

Will photos be taken and/or used for promotional purposes?

By purchasing a ticket, you consent to Union County Tourism commercial, journalistic, and internal use of any media image, audio or visual, taken by, on behalf of, or for the use of Union County Tourism during the event.
